As you get to know us through these pages, we hope you’ll understand our purpose
and participate in furthering it.
We began as a Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod mission to provide spiritual
resources to the people in Flour Bluff, Padre Island and neighboring areas.
We discovered that many were physically and spiritually needy so we developed a
ministry which tried to remove barriers by opening a Child Development Center, by
organizing small groups and by meeting for informal worship led by a praise band.
These are still the main characteristics of our congregation: Christian teachers
leading children to maturity, little groups welcoming, accepting and supporting
people on the road to the truly satisfying life, and informal worship encouraging
everyone to feel comfortable as they praise God.
